Inaugural Post - additional thoughts

My site has now been published for the world (literally the world) to see, and comment on. I did it myself after surviving a steep learning curve.

There are a number of reasons I went to the trouble of putting www.SteveShear.net together.

FIRST and foremost, I want to introduce you to my upcoming novel, The Trials of Adrian Wheeler. This is actually my second novel, but the first to be published. While I have provided a synopsis and three excerpt chapters, they most definitely will change after Adrian is subjected to the editing process by the publisher (L&L Dreamspell in Houston). Nevertheless, any thoughts or comments are welcome, especially with regard to the synopsis. The book cover is my creation and more than likely will NOT be the one finally selected by the time we finalize the editing process. I say that because neither the publisher nor my wife like it. IF YOU DO, HOWEVER, LET ME KNOW. Who knows, maybe I can win out!

Please also take a look at my first novel, Ira Neebest and The First Coming which will be looking for a home sometime in the near future. The State vs. Max Cooper has been submitted to a number of publishers and no doubt will generate a ring of rejections before someone steps up to the plate (hopefully).

SECOND, this website will be the new home for my paintings which were previously at www.shearstudio.com. My plans are to sell Giclees (a fancy word for upscale color prints) of my paintings. I am in the process of finding the Giclee supplier. I will also be selling prints of my drawings.

THIRD, since it's virtually impossible to find someone to publish my poetry, I thought I would do it myself in a way that does not require anyone to buy it. My objective here is to initiate conversations on serious subjects. So, please read away and give me your thoughts on the substance AND THE FORM. I welcome your critiques.

FORTH (and last for now), I am looking forward to posting these blogs and receiving your comments. WHAT AN AMAZING WAY TO CONNECT!

So, please navigate through my various pages and let me know what you think.

  1. The ability to get to posting a comment isn't clear. It's confusing with the side bar of comments.
But I finally found it with your help and my persistence.
